On November 6, 2016 around 5:00 pm in the Lazio region, between the municipality of Ladispoli, in the Province of Rome, an intense tornado struck. The whirlwind begins its run hitting the maritime city of Ladispoli, from where it continues through Ceri, devastating the pine forest, Tragliatella, Cesano and Morlupo a few kilometers from my studio. During the 40 km route, the tornado sowed death and destruction. The intensification of extreme weather phenomena prompted me to dedicate a series of paintings on this subject.
